China Matters held its Fifth Young Professionals National Meeting in partnership with the Australian Centre on China in the World on 8 March 2019 at the Australian National University, Canberra. Each session ended with one or two policy recommendations for the Australian government and business community.

The two panel sessions focused on:

  • How should Australia respond to growing nationalism in the PRC?
  • How can the Australian economy become less dependent on the PRC?

Session I was moderated by Mr James Scullin, National Project Manager, Australia China Business Council. Session II was moderated by Ms Amy Hallam, Committee Director, Australian Institute of International Affairs WA.
