SECOND CHINA MATTERS IN PARLIAMENT

The second China Matters in Parliament forum was held on 14 February 2018 from 10:30am-12:00pm. It was hosted by Julia Banks MP, Chair and Julian Hill MP, Vice Chair, Australia – China Parliamentary Friendship Group.

The 2 x 45-minute sessions focused on the choices that Australia’s decision-makers grapple with when responding to President Xi Jinping’s Belt and Road Initiative as well as the complexities of the Australia-China relationship, especially in light of developments in recent months.

At both sessions, three guest speakers from China Matters provided opening comments. This was followed by Q and A.
